At Matchbox DC, the dish to get is an appetizer: the Mini Burgers. SAL laughs at me when I take picture of food, but look — now her birthday dinner is documented.

This reminds me of a place in Happy Valley that sold steamed hamburgers. I think it has closed, despite being 2005's "best new restaurant." I consider it a lost opprutunity.
Watertown-style steamed hams are actually little pine tree air fresheners on a bun. And I'm sure a lot of longtime Watertown residents are sitting back laughing their *sses off at this. :-)

Everyone knows that those "fries" are actually fried onions, or as the menu says: "onion straws."
