They come pre-scuffed
MADISON, Wis. — Realizing that customers like to wear baseball hats with curved brim, stores started selling them that way. This weekend, I noticed that the latest trend seems to be selling hats with scuffed-up brims.People love ratty old hats, it seems. So it only makes sense that stores now sell brand new ratty old hats.
"Old hat smell" is not included.

I had predicted the rise of pre-bent brims no less than ten years ago. But I never saw the pre-frayed brims coming. What's next, artificial sweat stains?
The "worn" look has now reached all corners of the fashion world, including baby clothing. My one-year-old son has his own ripped jeans and faded shirts. Of course babies grow out of their clothes so quickly that they'd never be able to naturally wear through clothing. I just wonder what the social workers will think when they see my kid wearing tattered clothes.
They already have artificial sweat stains! Didn't you see Italy's World Cup uniforms?
How appropriate that you use a Notre Dame cap to illustrate this trend.
