Met the Mets

QUEENS, N.Y. — William Shea, the man who brought National League baseball to New York after the the Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Giants left for California, no longer has a stadium bearing his name. The new ballpark is named Citi Field in order to honor the nation's third-largest banking holding company. But Shea has a pedestrian bridge in the outfield.

I never made it to the old Shea Stadium, but I had a nice evening watching the Brewers sweep a meaningless doubleheader against the Mets.
