NOLA

NEW ORLEANS – This is my first time in town since The Storm, which is what the locals I've met call Hurricane Katrina. It's been almost six years since The Storm, and the rebuilding process in New Orleans clearly has a lot of work ahead of it. On the other hand, Bourbon Street is just as colorful as I remember it.

Lunch with Michelle Obama

Michelle Obama has championed the cause of ending childhood obesity within a generation through exercise and healthy eating. For instance, she's pushed restaurants to offer children's meals with healthy offerings.

While waiting for the first lady to speak at a National Partnership for Women & Families luncheon the other day, I was curious what the hosts would serve for the meal.

The answer was a healthy plate of greens, vegetables and chicken breast.

Oh and ice cream cake for dessert.
