Joe, a trader or traitor?

Mike B. reports that Trader Joe's is opening a store in D.C. at the site of the former Columbia Hospital for Women on L St. between 24th and 25th streets. The store will reportedly occupy part of the ground floor at the Columbia Condominiums project.

Word on the street, I'm told, is that the project will open later this year. Yet, Trader Joe's Web page (or should that be spelled Trader Joe's's Web page?) does not list the store on its list of locations coming soon.

What's the story?

Found the Washingtonpost.com chat where I first read about it. It says July is the target for opening the store. Of course, the sourcing is sketchy "I talked to the manager of the Alexandria store" or "a group of people in my office is involved with development of that area" (though not necessarily the exact project).
