Fear the turtle

Let's take a closer look at a Jay-Z song called "Izzo (Hova)."

The semi-autobiographical song is about a drug dealer named Hova who went though some crazy shit so that you don't have to. Or so he says. One part of the song bothers me:
H to the izz-O, V to the izz-A
Fo' shizzle my nizzle used to dribble down in VA
Was herbin' em in the home of the Terrapins
VA, presumably, is refering to the state of Virginia. But the home of the Terrapins is Maryland, not Virginia. I guess maybe he couldn't find anything to rhyme with Virginia Cavaliers.

Maybe he was in a VA hospital in Maryland. I understand they have some real chronic shit.

I've always thought USC cheerleaders were pretty classy (to the extent that such a classification is possible in the cheerleading world). They wear long-sleeved white turtlenecks, rather than the skimpy tops donned by most cheerleading teams. But yesterday I discovered that a USC Song Girl named Megan Ramer doesn't wear underwear. When something goes unused or becomes obsolete, it's said to become a paperweight. Is your cellphone slow and out of date? It's become a paperweight. Is your laptop too slow to use? It's become a paperweight. Do you never use your Apple Vision Pro? It's become a paperweight. Weirdly, paper itself has become a paperweight. People do their work on laptops, tablets, and phones. Most homes don't have printers. Not only do we not need paperweights, we barely need paper!
