One point for Krispy Kreme

When the Fractured Prune opened up a Dupont Circle location, Marnie & I were excited and went to the grand opening.

I hadn't hung out on P St. in awhile, and walking by yesterday I noticed that ... the Fractured Prune has closed. It turns out that it shut down last August to be come Aioli Meditalian Gourmet.

The Fractured Prune's Web page says: "Due to the ongoing repair of the sidewalk and street we have relocated to Rockville."

Ah, Rockville. The land of ample parking and no sidewalk repairs — a donuterie's dream.

Kudos, DC Department of Public Works!

Just to clarify (MoCo in the Hizzouse!), that spot in Rockville is a nice little area around the movie theater. It's not Rockville Pike or something hideous like that.

Parking is most definitely NOT plentiful in that spot. (This is pretty close to where Governor O'Malley's campaign office was.) Yet I have to admit there appears to be plenty of parking in this shot, I think that's for the government offices. The movie theater probably has some parking.

Daytime, little is available there. This is great evidence of DC driving a nice business out to the suburbs due to its incompetence, not some suburban amenity.
